Schedule:
Pre-work, prior to class (optional): Take the free online class, Speech Zero to Hero in an Hour, or at least be familiar with the content. Our first session, based on the content will move quickly.
8:30 AM Arrive, Introductions, & Breakfast (steel cut oats, nuts, fruit, Greek yogurt, boiled eggs, mini-muffins, coffee, tea)
9:00-10:15 Workshop session I: Speech Zero to Hero in an Hour. You will create your speech draft using the 7-step “quick start” process based on the work book (included), Speech Zero to Hero in an Hour
10:15-10:30 Break
10:30-11:45 Workshop Session II: The “Talk-through.” Each participant will talk through their draft & get feedback
11:45-12:15 lunch (BBQ Chicken sandwiches, salads, veggie dish, apples, water, more coffee & tea)
12:15-1:30 Workshop Session III: Speak with confidence! practice techniques to look, sound, & feel confident
1:30-1:45 Break
1:45-3:00 Workshop Session IV Polishing your speech & individualized coaching (at least 15 minutes/student). This will include videoing short snippets to aid in self-evaluation
3:00-3:15 Break
3:15-4:30 Workshop Session V: Presentation & Feedback. You will give a 10-15 minute portion of your presentation and receive feedback from Diane and other participants.
