It’s funny, I started smiling back at person #2, even though I was just watching a video!
I recently reviewed a clip from a YouTuber called Charisma On Command. With a name like that, as you might guess, the guy on camera smiles very effectively. (He even starts before the camera’s rolling!)
The clip in question’s about networking events, which I thought you might find interesting. He starts with a killer opening line, and uses ½ a dozen other strong techniques. Comments (and links) are always very welcome.
Thanks, Craig–I watched the video and agree with your analysis (great observations!). I actually learned a conversational speaking tidbit in observing the speaker–it is much more natural to gesture numbers with the back of your hand facing the audience.
